Should I bring my Parka?

Answer

No, that won't be necessary. Expect temperatures is the 60s and 70s. Swimming and sunbathing are definitely December activities on Captiva. Be sure to check the weather before coming as winter can bring lots of rain to the islands (though we hope this is not the case!).

Are kids allowed?

As much as we love the children of our friends and family, we have decided not to invite young children to the wedding events. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Are there any babysitter/child care options available?

Answer

Yes, there are babysitters through the resort. Please call the reservation number listed on the travel section of our website to get more information.

What is the appropriate dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the welcome party is beachy casual. Hawaiian shirts and bright colors are encouraged. The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is "resort cocktail", which entails moderately formal, bright, beachy cocktail attire. Examples for women include a short cocktail dress, colorful maxi dress, or jumpsuit. Examples for men include sport coat with tie optional, khaki or linen pants, loafers with socks optional. Please no jeans.

Is there transportation on the resort?

Yes, there is a trolley system that runs around the resort. The trolley typically runs until 11pm, but will be extended the night of the wedding. If taking the trolley, please add an extra 15 minutes to your travel time. The resort trolley tracker on the South Seas app contains information on the timing of the trolleys.
