In our efforts to choose the very best craft beer that Vancouver has to offer to pour at the wedding, we tirelessly explored craft breweries large and small. Our favorites are: Beere, House of Funk, Bridge Brewing, and Parallel 49. If you're looking for more efficient sampling, there's a couple great taprooms with 50+ local taps each: CRAFT Beer Market Vancouver, and Tap and Barrel (the Shipyards location is conveniently located in Lower Lonsdale).
Stanley Park is a massive 1,000-acre outdoor area, Vancouver’s popular and wild backyard. Head here in the morning and expect to spend a few hours enjoying the zoo, train, swimming pools, beaches, historical landmarks and aquarium. If you're looking to get some exercise, we recommend going for a scenic run along the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path!
Two of the hotel recommendations (Lonsdale Quay and Pinnacle) are in this neighborhood! There's tons of bars and restaurants and shops right on the water. We recommend perusing the Lonsdale Quay Market and checking out Tap and Barrel for a HUGE local beer selection and great waterfront vibes, and grabbing a scoop or two at Earnest Ice Cream! If you're staying at the Marriott or another downtown hotel, there is an affordable Seabus that runs across the harbor every 15 minutes.

Originally built in 1889, Capilano Suspension Bridge stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. Since then much has been added to the twenty-seven acre park. CLIFFWALK is the park’s newest attraction – a cantilevered walkway clinging to the granite cliff high above Capilano Canyon. Treetops Adventure, seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you up to 100 feet (30m) above the forest floor, offers a unique squirrel’s eye perspective of the forest. Guided nature tours, the Kids’ Rainforest Explorer program and the Living Forest exhibit enhance this unique rainforest encounter.
No less than a dozen different neighborhoods invite visitors and locals to stroll colorful sidewalks, savor spectacular settings and soak in a wide range of urban vibes with roots in many different cultures and ways of life. And the bonus for visitors is that many of the neighborhoods in Vancouver are located close to each other, making it possible to see many sides of the city during your visit. It would take weeks, if not months, to see all there is to see in each neighborhood, so you can focus on just a few in great detail or hit the highlights of them all. To help you narrow down the choices, check out the linked guide to Vancouver neighborhoods.
