Yes, you are required to submit proof of a negative COVID test (taken within 5 days of you traveling to any of the Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St John's, St. Croix). You submit your negative COVID test results at the US Virgin Islands Traveler Portal, found at this link: https://usvitravelportal.com/. You do NOT need to take a COVID test to get back to mainland US (back to MN). This is only required to enter the island. If you don't complete the test and submit your info in the US Traveler's Portal prior to arriving at St Thomas airport, you may be forced to purchase a rapid COVID test at the St Thomas airport at your own expense, or worst case- may be not permitted to leave the airport. Please make sure you make this a priority so you are able to smoothly arrive at St Thomas and start enjoying the island! :)
No, as a US Citizen, you don't need a passport to travel to the USVI. If you were to travel to the British Virgin Islands (BVI) nearby, you would need to have your passport with you.

There may be a fee to reserve a beach chair, about $5-9 depending on the beach, and an umbrella rental is about $5 as well.
