Common Bond Café & Bakery
OMG this place has the BEST pastries! Mary Berry would be proud. We come here for brunch wayyyy too often! We both recommend the chef's breakfast and the kouign aman (sp?)
Kraftsmen Baking
Another DELICIOUS breakfast place! Anna recommends the #1 and #4 breakfast tacos. Sango recommends their french toast.
Roostar
Anna is obsessed with their pork Banh Mi. Great bread and great meat, what more could you want?
Coltivare Pizza & Garden
Anna and Sango go to Coltivare to celebrate important things like their anniversary. Coltivare is "da bomb" but get there early because they don't do reservations! Anna suggests their backyard salad and Sango recommends their pizza. Everything on their menu is amazing.
Teotihuacan Mexican Cafe
Sango lived across the street for a while and now is devoted. There is a lot of good Tex Mex in Houston but Anna and Sango like Teo's (yeah we're cool and gave it a nickname) for the price and quality. You can get high quality fajitas and margaritas for a good price. We recommend getting their fajitas and a margarita on the rocks.
Local Foods
Local Foods has become our go to during Covid. They have multiple locations but similar menus and quality. Sango always gets their garden sammie without lettuce with a side of kale salad. Anna almost always gets the crunchy chicken sammie as a salad. Great quality food for a decent price.
milk + sugar
NOMS! Amazing ice cream with mix ins. Sango recommends their brown sugar streusel while Anna recommends their sundae fundae.
Sweet Bribery
When Sango was living with his friend Brett he discovered this dessert place. Anna recommends getting their brownie sundae as you spend the afternoon visiting the shops on 19th street.
Fly High Little Bunny
Sango bought Anna's engagement ring here. The couple then bought their wedding bands from the couple that runs the shop. The couple creates custom jewelry that is almost as unique as the owners.
Pinkerton's Barbecue
Everyone has a favorite barbecue place. We like Pinkerton's the MOST. We recommend their brisket. It's Texas you don't need anything else. Sango got Pinkerton's for his 27th birthday party.
Under the Radar Brewery
Our second date was at this unassuming brewery.
Antidote
Our second date's second act was at Antidote. Anna loves their drip coffee and any of their espresso drinks. It's also a convenient stop on her way to work.
Red Dessert Dive
OMG their chocolate chip cookies are SO GOOD! It's within walking distance of Anna's school which makes it dangerous! Anna also recommends their debusker.

Anna and Sango like to eat more than they drink but if they want a cool cocktail with a friendly staff they go to BLT. Anna like the salty cat but the bartenders know how to make ANYTHING (she now regrets writing that)
Light Years Natural Wine Shop and Bar
This wine shop/bar is within walking distance of Sango and Anna's new place. It has a great ambience and is the perfect place to stay up late talking with friends over classy glasses of wine.
ALL DAY FITNESS
Anna has somehow convinced Sango to try out crossfit styled workouts at this place. She could only do this because All Day is super chill and supportive for anyone at any fitness level.
Throughgood Coffee
If you want an amazing cup of coffee you should 100 stop here! Anna loves their pour over but will sette for a cold brew during Covid.
Stanton's City Bites
Sometimes Anna is cranky because she got a sunburn and is very hungry and Sango responds by getting her the best burger in town. Anna prefers a classic burger and Sango tries a new burger each time we visit.
Memorial Park
Anna did some of her training runs here and Sango plays tennis there! The park also has a golf course and sand volleyball. Make sure to reserve a court for tennis.
Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern
Another place Anna loves to run at. She likes to part at the Cistern when she goes around the park. There is also kayaking in that area.
