You need not venture far to get your jollys! On the property, there are miles of walking trails, an outdoor pool, game room, lawn games, and a large pond for fishing and paddling (with complimentary canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats).
Go for a hike!
The hiking, walking and trail running options are endless! Vermont's tallest peak, Mt. Mansfield, is a hop, skip and a jump away and offers many moderate and challenging trails. Brewery hop!
Vermont is craft beer Mecca! There are tons of breweries in the area, from Lost Nation and Rock Art in Morrisville to Idletyme and von Trapp Brewing in Stowe. The Alchemist - home of the famous Heady Topper - has locations in Waterbury and Stowe. The Burlington area boasts a number of famous breweries such as Zero Gravity, Fiddlehead, Switchback, Magic Hat, and more. Or venture to the beautiful Northeast Kingdom to discover the revered Hill Farmstead Brewery - rated "Best Brewery in the World" nearly every year by the consumer-reviewed RateBeer community! And if you're not a beer drinker, there are lots of hard cider options as well, such as Citizens Cider in Burlington.
Explore the charming town of Stowe!
The picturesque town of Stowe is just a 25 minute drive from Sterling Ridge and offers many adorable shops and art galleries, walking and bike trails, restaurants, breweries and more! Check out the famous Trapp Family Lodge and Bierhouse, hike Stowe Pinnacle, or peruse the many stores and boutiques that line the downtown.
Go mountain biking!
We couldn't possibly leave our all time favorite outdoor activity off the list of recommendations! Vermont is home to some of the world's best mountain bike trails and networks (in our humble opinion). You can rent bikes at AJs or Ranch Camp in Stowe, at Bicycle Express in Waterbury, at Ski Rack our Outdoor Gear Exchange in Burlington, and many more locations. We highly recommend the Cady Hill and Adams Camp networks in Stowe, Perry Hill in Waterbury, the Kingdom Trails in East Burke, etc. We'd be happy to talk your ear off if you need recommendations!

Hit up a local swimming hole!
Vermont is home to some amazing swimming holes that offer a refreshing activity on a warm summer day! You can even walk to a few of them from Sterling Ridge! Just stroll down the natural road, under the Grist Mill Covered Bridge and out to Brewster River Park. While there, enjoy a refreshing dip in one of many swimming holes along the way.
