FAQs

The Wedding Website of Anna Halverson and Nicholas Padleckas
Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and truly enjoy the event.

Question

I have a dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! When you RSVP for the event, you can select your meal and add any dietary restrictions that you may have.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will provide buses that will transport guests to the ceremony and then to our reception venue. We have two buses that will be making a run from each of our blocked off hotels to campus. Due to limited bus availability, we ask our guests who have military IDs to transport themselves on base via personal vehicles if able. If guests choose to walk on base, you will need a valid picture ID (i.e. state issued driver's license, student I.D., or a government issued passport) and will need to enter via the Visitors Access Center at Gate 1.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The United States Naval Academy has many ceremonies that they conduct in a day. As a result, they have a strict timeline of events. We recommend our guests arrive no earlier than 1430 (2:30 PM) and no later than 1450 (2:50 PM). We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We want our wonderful guests to be able to fully enjoy our wedding, and to feel truly present and in the moment with us. We've hired an amazing photographer who will be there to help capture our special day. We are respectfully asking everyone to consider leaving all cameras and phones off during the ceremony. Of course, we will be happy to share our wedding photos afterwards. Following the ceremony, we encourage everyone to take pictures and to post them on our wedding google drive! QR code link will be located at the reception venue.

Question

Can I drive to the USNA chapel if I do not have a Military or USNA ID card?

Answer

The general public may walk in through the Visitors Access Center at Gate 1 during general visiting hours. All visitors 21 years of age or older must have a valid picture ID (i.e.: State issued driver's license, student I.D., or a government issued passport). Visitors under the age of 18, who do not have a valid picture ID must be escorted by an adult with a valid form of identification. We ask our guests who do not have a Military ID utilize our buses as they will be able to transport you all the way to the Chapel.

Question

Who is that adorable small dog in some of your pictures?

Answer

That's Indy! Unfortunately, as adorable as he is, the Chapel would not allow him to be our flower dog and he'll have to wait for us at home.

For all the days along the way
