Question

What Covid-19 safety precautions will be in place at the wedding?

Answer

For the safety and well being of our loved ones, we are asking that all guests in attendance be fully vaccinated for our wedding. We understand that this is a personal choice and that not everyone may feel comfortable accommodating or attending, but hope that this advance notice allows you to plan accordingly. We will be providing hand sanitizer stations as well as masks at the venue for those who would feel more comfortable wearing one. Appetizers will be served by wait staff and dinner will be a seated/plated served meal. All staff and vendors at the wedding will be wearing masks and although the ceremony + reception will be indoors, the venue is spacious with high vaulted ceilings and adequate air flow.

What are the current covid-19 regulations in Vail?

Answer

Masks: Masks will be required in all communal indoor settings, including restaurants, lodging properties, restrooms, retail and rental locations, and on buses. Face coverings will not be required outdoors. Vaccinations: Guests ages 12 and over will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccinations to dine at indoor, on-mountain quick-service (cafeteria-style) restaurants. This requirement includes those guests 12 and over in the ski and ride school programs that include lunch. More details on the verification process will be released on the Vail Resort websites. Employee Safety: All Vail Resort employees are required to be vaccinated. Indoor face coverings, enhanced hygiene practices, daily employee health screenings, and other health and safety measures will also continue. If you are traveling from abroad, the U.S. is requiring proof of a negative covid-19 test. What if I'm feeling ill?

Answer

If you are feeling ill or having symptoms in the days leading up, we ask that you please let us know as soon as possible and that you please stay home and take care. We also recommend getting tested. Self administered rapid tests are available for purchase, such as BinaxNOW.

Is there a virtual option so that we can be there from afar?

Answer

Yes! We will be live streaming our wedding and sending out a link directly to our friends and family who are not able to celebrate with us in person. If you know that you will not be able to make it in person but would still like to be a part of our day from afar, email us at TheLukes.2022@gmail.com and we will send you a link closer to the date.

How to help prevent altitude sickness?

Answer

Drink tons of water, keep some ibuprofen + crackers on hand, and if you are able to, arrive a day or two early to acclimate. You can also find "Boost Oxygen Supplemental Oxygen to Go" and other supplemental oxygen canisters at the airport and in many of the shops in Vail, if you need a little extra help. Take it easy and consume alcohol responsibly - You may be a tank at sea-level, but you'll be a light weight up there!

Are kids invited?

Answer

Although we love your little ones (we really do!), we're only able to have a limited guest list, and we want you to kick back and have the night off too - so this is an adult only affair. Thank you for your understanding!

Do you have any Vail babysitter recommendations?

Answer

Resort Sitters is a reputable company in Vail: https://www.resortsitters.com/vail-babysitters/ Because Vail is a resort town, there are also many kid clubs affiliated with the Vail Resorts (see our travel+lodging tab). Some are complimentary when staying with the affiliated resort.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to rising Covid positive case numbers, we have to keep our guest list limited. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black Tie Optional / Semi-Formal: Tuxes, suits, gowns, and cocktail dresses are all welcome- whatever makes you feel like a star! Bring your dancing shoes and don't forget your coat if you'd like to take in the fresh mountain air on the heated patio! It will be cold outside!

Is there parking at the ceremony + reception venue?

Answer

Yes! There is a large parking lot at the Donovan Pavilion. However, if you're staying in town for the night, we encourage you to use uber/lyft or the bus/shuttle services so that you can let loose, dance the night away, and not worry about driving at night on the snowy roads.

Will there be food and drink?

Answer

It wouldn't be a Beyersdorfer/Luke celebration without it! In addition to a sit down, plated meal (followed by cake and desserts!), we will be having a cocktail hour with appetizers and an open bar throughout the evening. What celebration would be complete without a Valerie Beyersdorfer themed cocktail? Eat, drink and be merry! Disclaimer: Alcohol hits you harder in the mountains (thanks, altitude). Please drink responsibly and utilize Uber/Lyft/the Vail shuttle services. Thanks!

Answer

Yes! We want our guests to safely enjoy their evening with us. We will have a vegan and gluten free meal option for you to choose from on your invitation, but if you have any additional allergies, please let us know at TheLukes.2022@gmail.com
