Our Story
Our story began at the University of Hull library. We were introduced through mutual friends, but fate stepped in during an unexpected moment. Anna was in her first year, Yusuf in his final year, when Yusuf overheard Anna chatting with friends about juju and Nigerian culture (which still makes us laugh).
Recognizing a familiar connection, Yusuf realized Anna was Nigerian too and that simple moment sparked a conversation that changed everything. From that day on, we became friends, sharing laughter, long talks, and a growing bond that neither of us rushed. Life, studies, and timing had their own plans.
Two years later, during Anna’s final year, friendship turned into something meaningful. What had quietly grown over time blossomed into love.
Since then, we’ve built a relationship rooted in friendship, understanding and shared values. From the library where it all began to the journey that led us here, we’re so grateful for every chapter and excited to begin the next one together
