Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Annalise Margaux Perricone and Jonathan McCarty Eubank
We're so excited to share our love of the Litchfield Hills with you! Below is a list of some of our favorite spots in the area.
Litchfield

Litchfield

Litchfield, CT

Explore the charming town of Litchfield, CT, where there are museums (Tapping Reeve), charming shops (including the sprawling bookshop in the basement of the First Congregational Church), and restaurants. Drive over to the nearby town of Bantam for fabulous bread and pastries (Bantam Bread), ice cream (the original Arethusa, for New Haven folk) and antique shops (we'd recommend HTC Home).

Tapping Reeve House and Law School

Tapping Reeve House and Law School

82 South Street, Litchfield, CT 06759

This is the first law school in America! While no longer accepting students, we highly recommend paying a visit and stepping back in time to learn about legal education in the early days of the country, and about the Litchfield area in general. This museum is FREE and is located in the heart of the town of Litchfield.

Thorncrest Farm & Milk House Chocolates

Thorncrest Farm & Milk House Chocolates

280 Town Hill Road, Goshen, CT 06756
, (860) 309-2545

Ever wanted to meet the cows that produce your chocolate? At Thorncrest you can! This lovely farm's specialty is chocolate and it's (chef's kiss) delicious. Don't mind the dirt road to get there. The farm is about 10 minutes from the town of Litchfield.

Washington, Depot

Washington, Depot

1 Green Hill Road, Washington, CT 06794

Explore Washington, Depot, a quintessential, Connecticut town with a great bookstore (The Hickorystick), a lovely public garden and art gallery (The Judy Black Memorial Park), and some charming cafes (The Pantry and Marty's).

Hollister House Garden

Hollister House Garden

300 Nettleton Hollow Road, Washington, CT 06793

Words cannot describe how much we love this place. Tucked away off a country road, the Hollister House is a true English garden.

Hogpen Hill Farms

Hogpen Hill Farms

100 Weekeepeemee Road, Woodbury, CT 06798

An insanely cool, slightly other-worldly sculpture garden created by statistician and data philosopher, Professor Edward Tufte. Tickets are per car-load of people. Check out the website and you may be able to hear Professor Tufte speak about his work and the art of seeing.

New Preston

New Preston

7 East Shore Road, New Preston, CT 06777

Explore New Preston, a charming hillside town with great shops (be sure to check out Pergola - swoon), a lovely care (9 Main and their shop, The Smithy), and a fun wine bar (The Owl).

Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden

Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden

9 Main Street North, Bethlehem, CT 06751

Check out the lovely Bellamy-Ferriday House, located in our very own town of Bethlehem! The beautiful home was originally built by Reverend Joseph Bellamy, an important preacher and educator of the mid-1700s. More recently, the house belonged to Caroline Ferriday, a 20th-century philanthropist and champion of human rights, whose work aiding victims of the Ravensbrück concentration camp was highlighted in the popular novel, Lilac Girls, by Martha Hall Kelly .
