We met probably day 3 of college in August of 2012 through a Christian group at CSU that we both were a part of. That formed the core group of friends we've been a part of ever since. Two and a half years into friendship, we had a class together; rare for an Engineer and a Human Development major. It was a very simple class but we frequently had to "study" together. Darren then broke out of the friend zone asking Annalisa on a eagerly anticipated date, to which after months of unclear signs and anticipation she felt the need to say "I think I'm busy that night...going on a date with you!" as he let out a huge sigh of relief. Our first date was January 27, 2015. We dated for 3 years involving many fun learning experiences with each other and conversations about faith in God and the future. In June of 2017 Darren moved to North Carolina for work. Long distance brought about changes and as Darren's devotion and patience held strong, God made it clear to Annalisa that even in potential fears of the future, it was time to move this relationship forward and that it would be the great, loving, and wise decision that we both wanted. As Annalisa (finally) confessed her love back to Darren, with confidence and satisfaction he proclaimed "you can't break this" and Annalisa laughed with the confident joy of that truth. He had to return to NC for work, but quickly flew back to propose on January 12, 2018. And here we are! We're excited to have you along! :) So let's party.
