The first day the couple met, they did not think much of it. At 15 years old, their primary focus in pre-algebra class was preparing for pop quizzes. However, everything changed when Annalisa found the courage to ask Alberto for help with a homework assignment. Although she did not truly need assistance, Alberto only realized this much later. She was simply looking for a chance to get to know him and see if he was as remarkable as he appeared. Fortunately for her, he was, and Alberto felt the same way. Their first date took place at Citrus Park Movie Theater, where they watched Knives Out. The evening went smoothly, and from that moment on, they became inseparable. High school passed quickly, and they created many memories together, including prom, graduation, and their favorite—after-school dates at the mall. During their first year of college, Annalisa attended Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Despite it being two hours away from Tampa, she drove up every weekend to visit Alberto. She became a frequent guest in his home, bonding with his family and often enjoying home-cooked meals. She later transferred to the University of South Florida, moving back home and closer to Alberto. However, this proximity was short-lived, as Alberto chose to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout boot camp, the couple exchanged hundreds of letters, maintaining their connection. For nearly four years, they managed a long-distance relationship, visiting each other as often as possible. Alberto proposed to Annalisa on a sailboat, surprising her with the message “Will you Marry Me?” She, of course, accepted. For the past seven years, the couple has shared laughter every day. They have never questioned the strength of their love or their relationship. Their lives are filled with inside jokes, reassurance, peace, and trust. They feel complete with each other and are excited about their future, looking forward to their continued growth as a couple.
