WHERE WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION TAKE PLACE?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the Westin Southfield Detroit's Garden Atrium, making travel between events convenient!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. We ask that you arrive by 4:45pm and are seated before 5:00pm. This includes all of our friends who are frequently fashionably late! :)

MAY I TAKE PICTURES WITH MY PHONE?

Answer

We hope our loved ones are able to be fully present during the ceremony, therefore we ask that you put your phones away on silent during the ceremony. Once the ceremony has finished and the bridal party has exited the space, pictures are welcomed and encouraged! We have hired a great photography and videography team and are happy to share the photos and videos they capture.

Parking is complementary in the venue's parking structure.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

We ask that friends and family adhere to the Garden Formal dress code. We encourage suits and floor or tea length dresses/jumpsuits. Wedding themes and colors are vibrant pastels and florals. You are welcome to wear any color except white!

WILL THE WEDDING AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Michiganders know that April in Michigan is extremely unpredictable! It could be raining, snowing, or a beautiful sunny day during our wedding - or all three in one day! All events will take place indoors at the beautiful garden atrium of the Westin Southfield Detroit.

While we love your little ones, this is an adult-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!

WHAT FOOD WILL BE SERVED AT THE WEDDING?

Answer

We love food and we know you do, too! We will have hors d'oeuvres passed during the cocktail hour. Dinner will be a plated meal service that includes a salad, bread, and an entree of your choosing: either fish, chicken, or vegetarian with a starch and vegetable. There will also be a dessert bar available for you to choose from 5+ different desserts. Later in the evening, we will have an afterglow snack that will include chicken tenders and a fry bar -- Annalisa's favorite snack!

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Answer

Absolutely! We will have an open bar during cocktail hour and throughout the reception. Beer, wine, liquor, nonalcoholic beverages, soft drinks, juices, and three signature cocktails: the "Gizmo-politan," the "Oscar-rita," and "Zelda's Whisker Sour" will be available all night.

WHAT ACCOMMODATION DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Answer

For those traveling to our event from out of town, welcome to Metro Detroit! We highly recommend booking at the Westin Southfield Detroit that is connected to the wedding venue. By staying at the Westin, you will be able to enjoy the evening worry-free and return to your rooms at the conclusion of the event safely. You are more than welcome to book a nearby hotel, Airbnb, or other accommodation with the understanding that you will be responsible for your own transportation.
