The Adventure of a Lifetime

As many of you may know, Ben and Annabelle met studying on the sometimes sunny beaches of Monterey California while earning their masters' degrees in teaching English language at MIIS. Starting out as friends, they always knew how to make each other laugh, but had separate plans. Ben had accepted a teaching position in Micronesia with the Peace Corps and Annabelle had plans to stay in California. What started as whirlwind romance between friends lead to deep love that ultimately won out as Ben decided to stay in Monterey. After graduating together, Ben and Annabelle's shared passion for learning, cultures, and travel took them across the globe to live and teach in Vietnam, Montenegro, and Boston. Along the way, they've grown as individuals and in love, learning how to ground and elevate each other, spark joy in each other's hearts, and nurture their commitment to one another. Now, they're ready to embark on another adventure together as spouses and are looking forward to celebrating their love and commitment with you all!

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
