A little further afield is the city of Bath. The Roman Baths are a well-preserved ancient bathing complex and temple in Bath, England, built around Britain's only natural hot springs. Built in the 1st century AD and dedicated to the goddess Sulis Minerva, the site was a major social and religious center for public bathing, relaxation, and seeking healing. Today, visitors can explore the ruins, including the Sacred Spring and the Great Bath, and see artifacts from the Roman settlement of Aquae Sulis in the museum
