We suggest arriving at the venue at 5:15 to ensure ample time to get settled and find your seat. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30.
The dress code for the ceremony and reception is cocktail attire. Suits and ties, formal pantsuits, and knee-length or midi-length cocktail dresses are all welcome! Please, no denim, shorts, or dresses in shades of white, ivory, or cream. The greenhouses where the ceremony and reception will be held are climate-controlled for tropical plants. This means it will be warm and humid, so even if it's technically still winter outside, it will feel like summer at the actual wedding. Because of this, we recommend dressing in light fabrics.
To ensure we can accommodate all guests comfortably and keep our day intimate, each invitation will clearly mark how many guests are invited. When in doubt, please reach out to Anna and Virginia with any questions. We appreciate your understanding and cannot wait to celebrate with you!
Both our ceremony and reception will be indoors at the Botanical Center. The Conservatory and Mediterranean Room are climate-controlled and stay warm and humid throughout the year. Blankets will be available in case anyone wants to sit outside for any portion of the night.
Yes, we will have an open bar that goes from cocktail hour to the end of the night! Cocktail hour will also include a selection of passed hors d'oeuvres. There will be a plated dinner with your choice of salad and entrée. You will be asked to make your selection when submitting your RSVP. Dessert will also be served. Our wedding has a pescatarian menu, meaning there will be a fish option for dinner but no meat. Please note any allergies or dietary restrictions in your RSVP and we will ensure your needs are met.
We ask that you keep your phones away during the ceremony, but please take as many pictures as you'd like during the reception!
Roger Williams Park Botanical Center is a "clean air" environment, and smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited. No, Hillary is not invited. Dogs are not allowed in the Botanical Center and even if they were, she hates dancing and any activity where she isn't the center of attention. She will be resting comfortably at home!
No, we were too busy being massive dorks. We didn't have crushes on each other until adulthood.
