Like all great love stories, ours technically begins in the halls of Old Rochester Regional Junior High School. We met as middle schoolers in 2006 and spent the next two years bonding over Hannah Montana, a shared love of reading, and the trauma of French class. Tragically, we parted ways to attend different high schools and began to lose touch, but not before (famously) going to a Jonas Brothers concert together. Fast forward to May 2022, when our romance really gets started. Anna is living and working in Boston and Virginia is finishing up grad school in Worcester. While we haven’t spoken in years, we do still follow each other on Instagram. One day we decide to reconnect. We talk nonstop for days before Virginia asks Anna on a date. In June, Anna asks Virginia to be her girlfriend. We move in together in Providence the following January. Virginia proposes on August 4, 2025 and Anna proposes back on September 13. And that is why we have gathered you here today. We can’t wait to celebrate our next milestone with you!
