Trevor and Anna’s story began in the fall of 2016 when they officially met during a university field course in Saskatchewan. This unique program combined a month of intensive fieldwork—studying plants, soils, and landscapes across the province—with a semester dedicated to report writing and mapmaking. The twelve students on the course quickly became a tight-knit group, bonded by shared challenges and adventures in the rugged outdoors. For the course’s final project, Trevor and Anna were paired in a group of four. Trevor took charge of the GPS, while Anna diligently identified plants, their teamwork seamless and intuitive. Throughout the semester, the group of twelve shared many of the same classes, strengthening their friendships and creating memories that would last a lifetime. In the summer of 2017, Trevor invited Anna and a few friends to a Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse game in Saskatoon. Later that evening, at Outlaws bar, Trevor and Anna shared their first kiss under the glow of the dance floor lights. From that moment, something undeniable sparked between them. That summer, they spent as much time together as possible—working on campus during the day and going on dates in the evenings. Though they resisted labels at first, their connection deepened with each passing day. During this time, Anna adopted her dog, Nova, with Trevor’s encouragement. By the fall of 2017, with a little nudging from friends, they officially became a couple. It was clear to everyone around them that they had found something truly special. Nova became an integral part of their lives, and Trevor has been involved every step of the way—from early training sessions to countless walks, road trips, and shared adventures. Nova is more than just a dog to them; she’s a cherished part of their family and a testament to their shared commitment and love. Over the past seven years, Trevor and Anna have built a life together filled with love, adventure, and accomplishments. After graduating university, they successfully navigated a year of long-distance with resilience and determination. In December 2018, Anna joined Trevor’s family on a trip to Mexico, marking her very first flight—an exciting milestone they shared together. In September 2019, they moved into their first rental home, quickly discovering how natural and effortless it felt to share a space. Then, in February 2022, they took the next big step and purchased their first home in Warman, where they’ve spent the past few years pouring their hearts into making it their own. In December 2023, Trevor proposed near the river in Saskatoon—a spot that holds deep meaning as one of their first date locations. It was the perfect place to mark the beginning of the next chapter of their lives together. Their relationship is a beautiful testament to the power of a strong foundation in friendship. Trevor’s calm, steady presence perfectly complements Anna’s lively, spirited energy, creating a balance that makes their bond truly extraordinary. Their journey together is a story of love, growth, and partnership, and it’s only just beginning.
