Hacienda El Carmen

Travel back in time with us for a weekend of magic! This is where we will host our wedding weekend. The Hacienda will be reserved for our guests beginning Friday, February 25th - Sunday, February 27th. Guests traveling from outside of Mexico will have priority to stay at the Hacienda. The Hacienda can accommodate 70 guests and rooms will be available on a first come, first serve basis. If you wish to stay at the Hacienda, please reach out to Anna or Thomas with your flight information so we can arrange you a room. Flight information will be required to reserve a room. Please do not attempt to contact The Hacienda directly. We are doing our best to ensure as many people can stay at The Hacienda as possible! If The Hacienda becomes full before you arrange your flights or you wish to stay elsewhere, we have also arranged room blocks at other nearby haciendas and hotels that are just a short drive away. Transportation between nearby hotels and The Hacienda can also be arranged.

Flight

Guadalajara International Airport (Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport)

Guadalajara is the nearest major city to Hacienda el Carmen, and Guadalajara International Airport has connections to most major cities. The drive from the airport to the Hacienda is about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.

Rental Car

Rental Cars

Most major car rental agencies are available at the Guadalajara International Airport, i.e. Avis, Enterprise, Hertz. Hacienda El Carmen is approximately a 1.5 to 2 hour drive from the airport, depending on traffic. We recommend using the shuttle service unless you are comfortable and experienced driving in Mexico.

Shuttle - Between Guadalajara Airport & Hacienda El Carmen

We are coordinating a shuttle service to pick up guests for arrival and returns between the airport and Hacienda El Carmen. Please contact us and share your travel itinerary if you'd like to be picked up from an airport shuttle. If you plan to visit Guadalajara before Friday, February 25th, please scroll down and read the "Further Explorations" section for information on our recommended hotels within Guadalajara and other shuttle pick-up locations.

Travel Note

Further Explorations

While our wedding weekend is Friday thru Sunday, you may want to come early or stay after and explore the area to make the most of the trip! If you're interested in exploring the city of Guadalajara before the wedding, we recommend booking a room at either Hotel De Mendoza or Hotel Morales, which are both located in the Zona Centro district of Guadalajara. These historic hotels are both within walking distance to Guadalajara's top tourist attractions, including the cathedral and Degollado theater. Ubers are also easily accessible in this area to visit other popular locations - i.e. Lake Chapala, Tlaquepaque, Zapopan, etc. Several of our family and friends will be staying at these hotels ahead of the wedding and we will be arranging shuttle services for our guests from this area to The Hacienda on Friday, February 25th.
