Refuge

We love Refuge! If you want some peace and relaxation during your stay, this is your spot! Make a reservation at Refuge to enjoy their co-ed outdoor hot tubs and cold plunges, saunas, steam rooms, fireside lounging, and quiet rooms.

Folktale Winery & Vineyards

If you like wine tastings, I highly recommend this beautiful spot! Fairytale style building and gardens. Make a reservation - especially on the weekends. They have food and sometimes live music, also.

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

STUNNING hikes at this state park. Truly my favorite hikes in all the land. These easy trails wind under the cypress trees and along the breathtaking coastline. Keep your eyes open for sea otters!

Garrapata State Park

You may spot some pretty wildflowers at this state park. Nice easy trails wind along the coastline.

Robert Knight Gallery

This is Robert's photography gallery that has going strong for over 20 years in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea! While it will likely be closed all weekend (since we will be busy getting married)... It may be fun to walk past and peek in the windows ;)

Anton & Michel Restaurant

Located at the Court of the Fountains in Carmel-by-the-Sea, this restaurant offers a lovely ambiance.

The Pocket

This is currently Anna's favorite restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea... Tasty food and good vibes. The first time Anna, Robert, Emerson, and Lillian all went out to eat together was New Year's Eve 2021.. and this is where we went! Nice indoor and outdoor seating.

Hog's Breath Inn

Fun spot in Carmel-by-the-Sea for a casual meal and drinks. Owned by Clint Eastwood.

Terry's Lounge

Terry's Lounge is a good choice if you're wanting a cocktail! It's in Cypress Inn (formerly owned by Doris Day) and has fun indoor or outdoor seating.

Portabella

Portabella is a restaurant on the main road (Ocean Ave) in Carmel-by-the-Sea in a charming old house. Sweet spot for lunch.

Carmel Beach

Walking along the coastline (there is a sidewalk) starting at the foot of Ocean Avenue is one of my favorite free activities around.

Beach House Restaurant + Bar @ Lovers Point

Located on Lover's Point, the Beach House is where we celebrated our 2 year anniversary... It's a great choice if you want to dine with ocean views in the cute town of Pacific Grove.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Sur House

If you have the time, I highly recommend taking the world famous coastal drive down Highway 1 from Carmel to Big Sur... and eating outside at The Sur House. The views can't be beat!
