Pyramid Point Trail
Part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, this is one of the most beautiful views in all of Michigan and our top recommendation if you can swing it! To access the trailhead, take M-22 to Port Oneida Road. Follow Port Oneida Road until it ends at Basch Road. Turn right on Basch Rd and continue east to the trailhead. The viewpoint is about half a mile from the trailhead; it is a short but somewhat steep hike. Keep left at the fork about halfway up the trail. The National Lakeshore charges a visitor fee of $20 per vehicle for a seven day pass or $40 for an annual pass. Stop in Glen Arbor afterwards for lunch and shopping! It is the quintessential Northern Michigan small town.
Downtown Traverse City (Front Street)
If you're not feeling like driving anywhere, you could easily fill your whole day in downtown Traverse City! Tons of shops, restaurants, and bars dotted all along Front Street and its side streets. Definitely stop by the Cherry Republic (TC is Cherry Capital of the World!) for loads of free samples, 7 Monks Taproom for a beer and good food, The Little Fleet for food trucks, and Kilkenny's for a dive-y Irish pub - just to name a few!

Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club
A bit of a trek from Traverse City, but one of the best courses in Michigan. If you would like a recommendation a bit closer, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa is a great option and has several courses to choose from.
Day Trip to Glen Arbor, MI
Glen Arbor is a quintessential Northern Michigan town. Hit all the shops, go to Art's Tavern for lunch (cash only!), and stop by Glen Arbor Wines for a glass of wine and yard games out back. This trip can be easily combined with Pyramid Point Trail. Take M-22 from Traverse City for the scenic route!
