Question

What's the best way to get to Traverse City?

Answer

The closest mid-size airport is in Grand Rapids, but Traverse City also has its own airport that you may choose to fly into. If you choose to fly into Grand Rapids, Traverse City is about a two-hour drive away. Allegiant flies direct from Jacksonville to Grand Rapids and from Sanford/Orlando to Traverse City, but offers a limited schedule.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you're flying into Traverse City, you can get away with not renting a car - Uber and Lyft are pretty reliable in the summer months, and there is plenty to do in Traverse City to occupy your time. But if you want to venture out to see more beyond Traverse City, we highly recommend renting a car versus relying on ride share alone.

Question

When should I book my travel arrangements and hotel accommodations?

Answer

The sooner the better! Northern Michigan is a very popular destination in the summer, and hotels book up quickly, as do AirBnBs if you're considering going that route.

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Transportation will be provided for Saturday's beer and wine tour, as well as for the ceremony/reception/after party. Guests will be picked up from the two wedding hotels.

Question

What's the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The dress code is formal. For women, think midi or floor-length dresses, jumpsuits, etc. For men, suits or slacks with a blazer and tie.
