Both Matthew and I are pretty private people and never imagined our wedding to be a big event. We originally planned on just the two of us road tripping and just eloping along the way. But, when we really started to get into the planning and the details of everything, we knew that after our ceremony we wanted to still be able to celebrate with our immediate families and closest friends. So, we decided to invite our families to come to be with us in Colorado and celebrate with a small ceremony and reception. Then, we started thinking about both of our extended families and felt incomplete without being able to be with everyone to celebrate and come together. We then came to the conclusion that we wanted to have a reception that included all of our families and loved ones so we can celebrate all together with everyone.
We have always loved the Mountains. The feel, the crisp air, and the beautiful views always drew us in. The mountains also have a sense of family and closeness to us as well, as whenever we would go, we would stay in a cabin with family and spend lots of time and laughs together.
Dressy Casual: Suits and more formal dresses are welcome, as are slacks and a button down, a pantsuit, and sundresses. Really, anything that makes you feel beautiful.
If your RSVP says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
We love kids, we really do, but we are wanting an adult only Reception so everyone can have a night off!
