Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the church ceremony and reception following is formal attire.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly and save you a seat! If you’re still confirming your plans, please RSVP before August 22nd.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

At this time, we can only accommodate plus ones to those formally invited to the wedding. Your RSVP online form and invitation will designate a plus one. If you feel we have missed someone important, please let us know!

Question

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Answer

With the exception of the flower girl, our ceremony and reception will be adults-only. We love your kids, but we hope that you can treat our wedding as a fun date night or getaway weekend!

Question

When do I need to arrive to the ceremony at St. Clement?

Answer

We kindly request guests to arrive no later than 2:45pm to allow time to be ushered to seats and avoid interruptions.

Question

When does the reception start?

Answer

Cocktail hour will start at 5:30pm. Guests may arrive as early as 5pm for champagne. In between the ceremony (+ mingling outside of the church) and cocktail hour, we recommend stopping by Collectivo Coffee or Gaslight Bar for a pick-me-up!

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Transportation is being arranged from The Drake hotel to St. Clement, which is close walking distance to other hotels in the area (Westin, Hilton, and others). Please meet in front of The Drake lobby on Walton St at 2:15pm if you need a ride. If you are taking a ride-share/taxi or driving, please plan accordingly with traffic (there is always heavy congestion in Lincoln Park) and call your rideshare early to arrive by 2:45pm. The address to enter in GPS is 642 W. Deming Place, Chicago.

Question

What should I expect at a Catholic wedding?

Answer

The sacrament of marriage in the Catholic faith is full of beautiful symbolism and tradition. All practicing and non-practicing are invited to listen, pray, and sing with us! The ceremony will have scriptures and prayer, but no communion. The ceremony is expected to last around 45 minutes.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be phone-less and the church does not allow flash photography inside. Enjoy the moment, we will have professional photographers to capture the moments throughout the ceremony! At the reception at Salvatores, feel free to take as many photos as you would like (and please share them with us!).

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Drinks are on us! We hope you’re ready to join us on the dance floor - the reception will be open bar throughout the night starting at 5:30pm. :-)

Question

How do I get to Salvatores from St. Clement?

Answer

Salvatores is a ~6 minute walk from St. Clement or a quick drive. We recommend stopping by Gaslight Bar or Collectivo Coffee on the way before the cocktail hour if you need a pick-me-up!

Question

Where should I stay if I’m visiting out of town?

Answer

We recommend booking at The Drake or a hotel close by (Westin, Hilton Mag Mile, Millennium Knickerbocker, The Ambassador, Whitehall Hotel). We’ll have transportation to the ceremony from The Drake.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Free parking for the ceremony is available at St. Clement in the lot across the church. Cars must be moved after the ceremony and cannot be left at the church during the reception. Salvatores has valet service ($30) and paid street parking a few blocks away.
