What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15-30 min before the ceremony begins at OLPH (2:30-2:45pm).

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a large parking lot at OLPH, where the ceremony will be held, and there is complimentary valet only (no parking) at the reception at Michigan Shores Club.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be a shuttle from the Sheraton Chicago Northbrook to/from the ceremony at OLPH church. We will additionally provide a shuttle to/from the Sheraton to Michigan Shores Club for those who will not be driving. Please see schedule under "Travel".

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

No, but if you have plans to stay in the city over the weekend, please note that it is Lollapalooza weekend, so things are sure to be crowded downtown.

What should I do during "the gap"?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 3pm at OLPH and the cocktail hour will begin at 5:30pm at Michigan Shores Club. During this gap, you are welcome to go back to the hotel to relax (shuttle available), or check out a few "local watering holes" like Grandpa's Place or Jackman & Co. in Glenview (5 min walk from the church), Macushla Brewing Co. in Glenview (perfectly en route to the reception), or Valley Lodge Tavern in Wilmette (fairly close to the reception). If you want to take a stroll by Lake Michigan, Gillson Park is just across the street from Michigan Shores Club.
