How we met

Jonah and I met online and had been talking for a few weeks before school started and shortly after moving in for college in the fall of 2020, we decided to meet in person and go on our first date. On that first date, we walked around the Hidden Falls in St. Paul, skipped rocks, and then went over and walked around Minnehaha Falls. When the sun was starting to set, we went to downtown St. Paul so I could see where Jonah played baseball. There was an event at CHS Field that night, and we found ourselves riding lime scooters around downtown instead. I followed Jonah, beaming the entire time, and he ended the ride right in front of Black Sheep Pizza. He bought my pizza and was so polite that he ate it without once mentioning that he was lactose intolerant. The next afternoon, we were hanging out and had just gotten Chipotle when my childhood best friend Mac texted me that she was in town and asked if we could hangout. I thought well this is kind of awkward but it so happened she wanted to meet Jonah and Jonah wanted to meet her. She had not eaten yet and we stopped by Punch pizza to grab her a pizza. Unfortunately, the wait time was well over an hour and we all decided something else would be better. So, she put a mobile order in and we walked next door to Chipotle to pick it up. Little did we know that it would take Chipotle an hour to make her bowl. We all sat and talked during that time and got to know Jonah even better. Jonah sat there at the table with us the whole time, not once complaining, and by the time Mac finally got her food, we both knew he was a good one. A few days later, Jonah asked me out. He and I decided that telling people we met at Chipotle was a better story than the one that we met online. So, we went along with that version. Many of you may know the story a little like this: Mac and I were hanging out and met Jonah while waiting for over an hour for Chipotle. We can not imagine our story any other way.
