Anna and Jackson met on a dating app in November 2019. Jackson had moved to the DC area approximately one month prior, and Anna had been living and working in DC since university. Right away, they knew they were in the presence of someone special. For their first date, they went to Northside Social, a wine and cheese restaurant in Arlington, Virginia. This would also be where Jackson would propose 1 year later. After their dinner, Jackson walked Anna home and they've been inseparable ever since. Four months later, they faced a tough decision. COVID-19 has reared its ugly head. Anna's school district shut down, and the world went on lockdown. Traveling to see each other several times a week no longer seemed safe. Quarantine was the only option. So, taking a chance, Anna invited Jackson to stay with her in her Arlington apartment. Anna knew this was a risk, as once you live with someone their habits will become known to you - for better or for worse. There's nowhere to hide. If they broke up, it would be much more complicated than if they weren't cohabitating. Yet somehow, both of them knew that breaking up was not going to happen. In June, Anna's lease at the Arlington apartment was up and they moved in to a rented condominium in McLean, Virginia, a suburb of Washington DC. In September, they adopted Max, a sweet black and white kitten who has endlessly delighted them both, as well as big sister Allie. In November, Jackson proposed at Northside Social. It was a chilly night, and they had just finished eating outside on the terrace because of COVID. They can't wait to start their lives together as husband and wife.
