Where/what is the venue?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are at The Hamm's family land (Harley's great uncle & aunt)! Address: 18 Balch Road, Lyle, WA. It is all outdoors in a big grassy/rocky field. Dinner and dancing will be under a giant tent.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire! To note, the ceremony & reception are both outdoors in a big grassy/rocky field. Ladies, we recommend you leave the stilettos at home and opt for a block or wedge heel or flats. June weather can be a bit unpredictable in The Gorge, ranging from 100+ degrees to rain & wind. We will have a giant tent to accommodate the weather, but please keep this in mind as you pick out your outfit. Wondering what "cocktail attire" means? Why is your wedding fire-free/no smoking?

Answer

Please note that our wedding "venue" is a fire-free zone. We won't have any candles, firepits, or sparklers, and we ask that guests refrain from smoking cigars/cigarettes. This is because The Columbia River Gorge is at EXTREME risk for wildfires, especially during the summer months, and one spark could be devastating. For example, 5 years ago The Eagle Creek Fire burned over 50,000 acres in the area due to illegal fireworks, and even closer to home, Harley's grandma recently lost her home to a fire. Thank you for respecting this request!
