Flight
If you're flying, you'll want to fly into Portland (PDX) airport, rent a car, and drive around 1 hour 20 minutes to the Columbia River Gorge. If you're driving from Seattle expect a 4 hour drive (likely longer with summer traffic...check the traffic ahead).
Travel Note
Lucky us! We've been notified that there will now be a 72-hour closure of the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge the entire wedding weekend starting Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26th. For people traveling from Seattle and taking i5/i84, this means you will have to take the Cascade Locks Bridge (also known as "The Bridge of the Gods" as seen in Reese Witherspoon's WILD 😊) which will add 10-15 minutes to your commute. Alternatively, if you're coming from Seattle and taking the back way on i90 you should remain unaffected. The main downside of this closure is it will now take at least 40 minutes to get between White Salmon & Hood River instead of 10 minutes because you will now have to go through The Dalles. Please plan accordingly. Nevertheless, we will not let this rain on our parade, and we are so excited to celebrate with you all soon!
Travel Note
Hotels in the area do not accommodate hotel room blocks, so please book your hotel or AirBnb early to ensure availability. We recommend staying in Hood River, White Salmon, Bingen, or Lyle. These towns are all very close together in the Columbia River Gorge and near the wedding events. We've included some great hotel options below!
Travel Note
Uber/Lyft is not available in the Columbia River Gorge. You'll definitely need a car to get around, so please plan accordingly, and coordinate carpools! Also, plan your designated driver for the wedding night.
