As most modern love stories begin, Anna and Diego met through a dating app called Bumble. For those who don't know, Bumble is unique in the sense that the woman makes the first move. That being said, Anna tried to pull out all the moves - a message in Spanish, a request to play tennis, the works. Diego, being a tennis pro from Peru, appreciated the attempt at impressing and set up a first date at a restaurant in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago called The Whale. On the first date, they talked about their backgrounds, interests, and goals for the future. Seven hours later, Diego being the gentleman he is, drove Anna home and set a brunch date for two days later. On this second date, Diego asked Anna to be his girlfriend. And only five months later, the two of them decided to make a huge move to Miami together, for a major job opportunity for Diego. Regardless of hesitant parents and other family members and friends, the two made the move. It quickly became apparent that these two were serious about each other, and from there, the rest is history.
