Back in March of 2018, fate (with a little help from Tinder) brought Anna and Dalee together. At the time, Anna was a senior at Beaver Area High School, and Dalee was a freshman at Geneva College. Although life soon pulled them in different directions, their connection never fully faded. Every year after they first met, Anna would reach out to Dalee to wish him a happy birthday — his birthday always falling just two days before hers. What started as a simple yearly message became a quiet tradition that kept them connected, allowing them to check in, catch up, and remain a small but meaningful part of each other’s lives. In February of 2023, that familiar birthday message turned into something more. They reconnected in a deeper way, talking for months, sharing stories, laughter, and late-night conversations that reminded them just how naturally they fit together. With every conversation, it became clearer that this connection was something special. That October, Anna traveled to attend a wedding with Dalee — a weekend that would change everything.
