Anna and Chris met at The North Face in 2018. Newly transferred to the Seattle store, Anna was apprehensive about managing a new team but quickly found a friend and ally in Chris. Chris later told Anna that for him, it was love at first sight. The following year, Anna suggested a ski day at Stevens Pass to Chris. When they arrived at the top of the chairlift, Chris was stunned as Anna took off at full speed. He raced to catch her, and they spent the day zooming down the mountain side by side. Their conversations flowed easily as they rode the lifts, and they enjoyed sharing their favorite songs on the long drive home at sunset. As their friendship deepened in the ensuing months, Chris ultimately proclaimed his love for Anna and happily, she felt the same. In May 2023, Chris introduced Anna to his children, Quentin and Cora, and they had a fantastic weekend exploring Seattle. At the end of the weekend, Cora told Anna, "I think you and Daddy should get married." Great idea! That summer, the kids spent every weekend with Anna and Chris and invited her to join them and their dad on their annual camping trip in Winthrop. During that trip, Quentin suggested they all move in together on the days the kids weren’t with their mom. In September, Chris made it happen. When Chris felt the kids were ready, he proposed to Anna at Sun Mountain Lodge during their 2024 camping trip in Winthrop. The kids helped plan the surprise -- Anna was deeply moved by the family's shared role in the proposal. In choosing their wedding venue, Anna and Chris naturally selected Winthrop. The spectacular region holds a special place in their hearts, reflecting their love for adventure and the memories they've created together.
