Walk around and explore Laramie's numerous restaurants, bars, and boutique shops. You might even see the train go by! (We've listed some of our favorite places on the FAQ page.)
Jubilee Days, also known as "Wyoming's Hometown Celebration" started in 1940 to mark Wyoming Statehood Day on July 10. This year, Jubilee runs from July 4 - July 12, so be sure to join in the fun! There are different events scheduled each day, usually including a bloc-party in downtown Laramie during the evening, and a PRCA Rodeo on Saturday or Sunday.
Brewfest is an annual event that attracts beer vendors from the nearby western region! Participants can sample beer and dance to live music in Depot Park (next to the train tracks). Even better, the festival is for a good cause--profits go to the Laramie Main Street Organization!
The UWYO campus is a beautiful, peaceful place to walk around during the summer months. Asmiov is a big fan of playing fetch at Prexy's Pasture! You can easily spot Ross Hall in the middle of campus, where Bryce and Anna have spent much of their time during grad school.
One of Anna's favorite things about Laramie is the large population of wild rabbits (or "bunnies"). The best places to spot them are the UWYO campus and surrounding neighborhoods. Try to top our record of 23 sightings in one outing!
If you find yourself in need of an animal companion, our happy-go-lucky dog Asimov loves to go for a walk with just about anyone! If you are feeling particularly brave, you may also try to pet our cat Juniper (subject to her highly selective tastes). Please get in touch to make reservations with these local celebrities.
The prison was built in 1872 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It held some notorious figures of the wild west, including Butch Cassidy! The site is open from 8 am to 7 pm and guided public tours are offered Thursday through Sunday at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm.
