I’d like to think our story is full of beautiful and funny moments, sprinkled in with some risks. Our first date was at a coffee shop, I was never a big coffee drinker but when a pretty blonde wants to get coffee you somehow become the CEO of Starbucks. When I made an awkward joke to the guy behind the counter and Anna laughed instead of getting embarrassed, that was the first green flag. We spent a lot of time together in the first 6 months, slowly figuring each other out. 6 months in, no red flags, we’re in the clear right; we moved in together. Anna quickly learned that I sing songs incorrectly. I quickly learned that Anna has memorized the lyrics to every song she’s ever heard by heart. Talk about a missing puzzle piece. We took the next step together when we adopted Charlie and Kora and what a blessing they have been. I knew Anna was the one way before the test of fur baby parenthood, but I don’t think either of us could imagine a world without the experiences and love that we’ve built. So on a sunny beautiful Sunday morning I packed up the picnic basket, checked to make sure I hadn’t lost the ring for the thousandth time and with a beating heart proposed in a park under the trees in Savannah. We were looking through my camera roll when I asked Anna to get my lens from inside the camera bag. I had the ring inside, box open facing Anna. But instead of looking inside the bag Anna gave me the bag. I had to ask her to look inside for the lens which she finally did. After a pause and a shocked look on her face I took the ring and got up on one knee and finally asked. We are excited to have everyone in Orlando, Florida, to celebrate with us. As we embark to become the strongest and most powerful couple this world has ever seen.
