The marina is the heart of Cabo - it's beautiful and bustling! It's the perfect place for a stroll, a waterfront meal, or a spontaneous adventure. We love watching the fishing boats come and go, popping into souvenir shops, and trying the local restaurants! Check out breakfast at Fisherman's Landing or grab the fresh pineapple cocktail at Margaritas To Go (yes, that's the name of the bar). The marina is one of our favorite places to take in the energy of Cabo - but just a heads-up, you might get approached by a few eager street vendors. A polite “no, gracias” usually does the trick!
The Marquis has a beautiful beach, but unfortunately, it is considered unswimmable due to strong waves and powerful currents. Instead, grab a coffee and take a morning walk to enjoy the beauty! For a dip in the ocean, head to Medano Beach, Cabo's main beach located near the marina. It's the most swimmable beach -- soft sand, turquoise water, and the best views of Cabo's famous Arch! This area is full of energy with beach bars, live music, and water activities. This is a popular spot, so be prepared to encounter some friendly (and persistent) beach vendors!
The Office is one of our favorite beachfront spots! With your toes in the sand, you'll enjoy views of Land's End, deliciously fresh seafood, and the ultimate Cabo vibe! We highly recommend ordering the shrimp ceviche (& margaritas of course). The Office is the perfect place to kick back and watch the waves roll in - for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This is a must-visit spot for us!
A Cabo classic! Founded by rock legend Sammy Hagar, Cabo Wabo is a popular spot located downtown near the marina -- known for its lively rock shows, energetic atmosphere, and signature tequila! If you're looking for a good time outside of the resort, this is the place to go! No trip to Cabo is complete for us without a night at Cabo Wabo!
Located in the marina, this sushi spot is known for its fresh, locally sourced seafood and speciality rolls with unique twists. Arts & Sushi was our first meal (outside our resort) in Cabo! We prefer to sit outside on the patio overlooking the marina, but the interior is decorated with art from renowned artists - hence the name. If you're exploring the marina, stop in for lunch or dinner!
This is an authentic glass-blowing workshop where you can watch artisans in action and find unique, locally made souvenirs. During our first trip to Cabo, we met a couple who frequently visit Cabo, and they took us to this hidden gem! It's not fancy, but that's part of its charm! We left with a fun set of margarita glasses that we still love using -- oh, and they're great conversation starters! The factory is located about 10 minutes from The Marquis.
About 15 minutes from The Marquis, San José del Cabo offers a slower pace and more of an artsy vibe. The cobblestone streets of this historic town are lined with boutiques, artisan markets, and locally-owned galleries. Don't be surprised if you're offered a cold drink and friendly chat while browsing - it's the culture of the town and makes for such a cool experience! Spend some time in San Jose del Cabo if you're needing a little escape from the hustle and bustle!
