FAQs

Question

When should I arrive and leave?

Answer

We would love for our guests to arrive a day or two before the wedding to settle in and enjoy Cabo! The resort does require a 3-night minimum stay for each guest (and even specified that those nights must be Thursday through Sunday). Wedding festivities officially kick off with the night before celebration on Friday evening, but we are planing to rent a private boat for Thursday afternoon to get the party started a little early! We will be there all week, so join us when you can! Our room block is available Monday, April 20th through Tuesday, April 28th.

Question

Is there a deadline to book our room?

Answer

Yes, the deadline to book a room under our dedicated room block and receive the best available rate is February 21, 2026. If you book after this date, you will not receive the discounted rate. We recommend booking sooner than later to lock in the discounted rate, ensure access to your preferred room type, and help the resort (and us) plan ahead.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Marquis Los Cabos is an adults-only resort, so guests 18+ are welcome, but unfortunately, kids cannot stay at the resort or attend the wedding. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Warm, sunny days and breezy, cooler evenings! Daytime highs: 80-85 degrees -- Don't forget your sunscreen!! Evening lows: 60-65 degrees -- A light sweater or wrap is a good idea. Oh, and April is one of the driest months with a minimal chance of rain - YAY!!

Question

What currency is used in Cabo?

Answer

The currency in Cabo is the Mexican peso. However, most places in Cabo accept US dollars and major credit cards. If you plan to buy souvenirs from local vendors that may not accept credit cards, you can use dollars or pesos. If you pay with US dollars, you should expect to receive change in pesos. While the resort is an all-inclusive resort, we've found that tipping the staff for their service is a kind and greatly appreciated gesture. We recommend bringing some small bills for convenience.

Question

Is Cabo safe?

Answer

Yes, Cabo San Lucas is considered one of the safest areas in Mexico, especially for tourists. It is a very popular tourist destination! The local community is welcoming, and the resort areas, beaches, restaurants, and downtown area are well-traveled and well-patrolled. As with anywhere, you should always be mindful of your surroundings. We have felt very comfortable during our time in Cabo - and we're confident you will, too!
