One of our favorite restaurants, The Optimist is where we went after Dalton proposed. It is a nicer restaurant with great seafood. If you are feeling a nice martini afterward, we always go up the stairs to Le Loup, a more speakeasy-style bar right above The Optimist.
Located right across the street from The Estelle, Yeast is a cozy breakfast spot that serves one of Dalton's favorite items from Texas: kolaches. They serve kolaches, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and various coffee options.
Hunter's Station is East Nashville's food hall. Burgers, acai bowls, Vietnamese food, and more, Hunter's Station has plenty of options and is located in the heart of East Nashville.
If you're visiting from out-of-town and want to make the most of your stay, you may find your way over to Broadway. Fifth + Broad is right at the top of the street with plenty of food and drink options in the Assembly Food Hall. If you're a local, you may find your way over there, too, depending on how the weekend goes.
One of Anna's favorite coffee shops in Nashville. If you're a fan of cold brew, you should definitely check Elegy out. Best drink: The Honey Bear.
A regular stop for us, Redheaded Stranger is the place to go for delicious tacos. Great queso, fresh tortillas, Dr Pepper hot sauce, and recently awarded Bib Gourmand status by the Michelin Guide. If there is a line out the door, just know that it's worth it.
Right beside the Nashville Sounds stadium you can find Von Elrod's Beer Hall & Kitchen. This is a great spot to grab a stein of beer, catch a game, and, for us, some occasional trivia.
If you need something to do, you can catch a Minor League Baseball game while you are in town. The Nashville Sounds will be hosting the Memphis Redbirds all week and tickets usually start around $12.
