Things To Do

A Few of Our Favorite Places

Salsa's

6 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28801
, (828) 252-9805

A twist of Mexican and Caribbean cuisine. Lots of yummy flavors.

Biscuit Head

417 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801
, (828) 505-3449

A perfect brunch spot. Massive biscuits, homemade jams and delicious sides.

Dupont State Forest

Staton Road, Cedar Mountain, NC 28718
, (828) 877-6527

DuPont is located near Brevard, about an hour away from Asheville. There are 3 main waterfalls (High Falls, Triple Falls and Hooker Falls) with a short hike to each. Scenic area without too much hiking.

Looking Glass Falls

NC 28768

Looking Glass Falls is located in Pisgah National Forest. There is an overlook stop to see the falls without having to hike. If you're feeling ambitious, hike to Looking Glass Rock. It is the left turn before reaching the falls, the first parking lot on the right. This trail leads to a beautiful view of the mountains. It is a fairly strenuous 6.5 mile roundtrip hike.

Burial Beer Co.

40 Collier Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
, (828) 475-2739

Asheville has so many breweries to choose from. This is one of our favorites on south slope.

5 Walnut Wine Bar

5 West Walnut Street, Asheville, NC 28801
, (828) 253-2593

Great summer spot with huge open windows to enjoy a glass of wine.

New Belgium Brewing Company

21 Craven Street, Asheville, NC 28806
, (828) 333-6900

Enjoy a pint on their outdoor patio.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

100 Sierra Nevada Way, Mills River, NC 28732
, (828) 681-5300

We like to call it the Willy Wonka of Beer Factory. A great, outdoor spot and good pit stop if you're on the way to DuPont or Pisgah National Forest.

For all the days along the way
