We met on Hinge at the beginning of the pandemic when we were both living in Jacksonville, Florida. (For those lucky enough to not be familiar with Hinge, it's a dating app.) We began talking at the time of the Gamestop crash (if you know, you know). Our first date was dinner on a rooftop downtown where I (Anna) basically interviewed Brian, and great news, he passed! Our second date was brunch in San Marco that evolved into drinks after brunch, then a snack because we were a little peckish after the drinks, to more drinks and an early dinner... an eight hour date. Brian was 15 minutes early for brunch, I was 5(ish) minutes late. This sums us up in a nutshell. Our third date consisted of a movie at our favorite indie theater (we miss you, Sunray!), then our fourth date was a big one – Brian attended a work event with me (still Anna), the Jacksonville Symphony gala, where he also met my sister and brother-in-law. It was also around this time that Brian said he'd deleted all dating apps and invited me (Anna) on a trip to Ocean Reef in the Keys with friends, four months from then. He was sold, and so was I. Fast-forward about six months and we moved to Atlanta together – new jobs, new city, new car (because Brian's was stolen, thanks Atlanta), and a new home. Fast-forward six more months (we're now in April 2022) and Brian and I returned to Ocean Reef, where he proposed at the same beach we stood on just shy of a year before – his favorite place. It’s now been more than a year since Brian proposed, and in that time we've moved twice more (lord help us) and are stepping into true "wedding season" with a bachelor trip (just golfing, everyone calm down), a bachelorette trip (back to Ocean Reef, where it all began!), and (finally) our wedding all on the horizon. We're so grateful to everyone who has been on this whirlwind journey with us, and are thrilled to be celebrating with you all this fall!
