Our story didn’t start with a whirlwind; it started with a conversation. In the fall of ~2012/2013, amid the college energy of Kalamazoo, Anita sat next to Matthew at a mutual friend's birthday party. We spent the night chatting, and while life eventually took us in different directions, that first impression never quite faded. Fast forward nine years to 2021, Anita ran into that same mutual friend at Costco (of all places!). On a bold whim, she asked the golden question: "Is Matt still single?" A message was passed, a date was set, and the rest truly was history. Today, our life is full of the things we love most: our beautiful daughter, Scottie, and our loyal Berner, Parker. We continue to choose each other every day, and we can’t wait to step into forever with all of you by our side.
