Travel Note
Healdsburg is located in Sonoma County and Wine Country, though despite that it's nearly an hour from Sonoma (and Napa). That said, plenty of award-winning wineries and breweries are nearby with Healdsburg full of great restaurants and bars (and of course you can (and should) make at least a day trip out to the Napa and Sonoma regions if you've never been. We have recommendations on the 'Things to do' section of this site!) Should you want to explore other places to stay in nearby cities to Healdsburg, consider Windsor and Santa Rosa.

House Or Rental
Plenty of options are cross-listed between Airbnb and VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner: https://www.vrbo.com). There may be scenarios where a property may be listed for less on Airbnb and vice versa. It may help to check both locations, just in case!

Oakland is one of the closer airports to Healdsburg and offers many nonstop flights (like to Kansas City) on Southwest Airlines (far and away the biggest carrier at the airport). Approximately 1.5 hours from Healdsburg, CA
Flight
SFO offers a far greater number of flights and destinations on nearly all airlines (with the exception of Southwest) than Oakland and Sacramento. Nonstop options from Kansas City are available on Alaska Airlines and United. Approximately 1.5 hours from Healdsburg, CA
Flight
Fondly known as the 'Hareport' (if you're in Terminal B, look for the giant red bunny on your arrival), SMF offers the benefit of bypassing a lot of traffic and the drive will take you by Napa and Sonoma on the way to Healdsburg. Nonstops are available from a variety of airports across the U.S. Approximately 2 hours from Healdsburg, CA
Rental Car
For those of you who are members, consider renting a car from Costco's travel site (https://www.costcotravel.com) or AAA.com. Often the best deals can be found on these sites. All Bay Area bridges accept cash tolls with the exception of the Golden Gate Bridge, so you don't need to pay for the FasTrak transponder they'll try to sell you on (but the convenience factor may be worth it). For the Golden Gate Bridge (should you cross it) you have up to 48 hours after crossing to make a payment by going to the following website, entering your license plate information, and making the payment online: https://www.bayareafastrak.org/en/guide/GGBridgeToll.shtml
