Ani's roommate Allie had been telling her for months that she HAD to meet this guy Gibby. On a December evening the stars aligned and the two officially met at Leon's Bar. They hit it off immediately and spent the entire evening talking about the best hockey team in the NHL (Ani obviously said the Sharks.. and at the time she wasn't wrong... and Gibby obviously said the Bruins). Gibby then spent the next few months casually showing up to all the events that Ani was attending and after a few charming encounters, Ani finally fell for him. The rest is history.

Gibby went out and bought a ring in March, and a few days later COVID hit. The ring factory shut down, and his 4-6 week lead time for the ring turned into 4-6 months (Ani became very impatient during this time and was constantly dropping not so subtle hints). During COVID, Gibby and Ani got a dog (Casper!!) and got into the habit of signing off Friday and heading out for a hike at the local reservoir. They established a pretty normal routine, except for on this particular day things were a bit different. Ani had to go into the office for the first time in a while. She told Gibby she would be home sometime in the afternoon and then they could go on their hike. Ani, however, came home from work early and found that Gibby wasn't home. He told her he was at Chipotle getting lunch (Ani thought nothing of it). Gibby came home and told her that he put his Chipotle leftovers in beer fridge because the fridge was full. That prompted Ani to check the fridge (because there is no way our fridge is THAT full) and sure enough there was a Chipotle bag in the beer fridge. Ani and Gibby left for their hike and went to their usual spot. Gibby set up the GoPro to try and take a "family photo". As Gibby bent down to get Casper to sit still, he popped the question! After Ani asked if Gibby "was serious", Gibby pulled out a Chipotle bag filled with Champagne and Glasses. Turns out Gibby was out to lunch with his parents and didn't want to tip her off. He had to think on his feet and decided the best way to hide the champagne was to use the good old Chipotle Fake Out.
