Our tale is a simple one, involving a dating website and easy conversation. Angie found James's profile and thought he was a pretty nice guy. What came next was an easy conversation between two people with similar interests. Simple beginnings for a perfect relationship. From there it's been a whirlwind of a relationship for the couple full of shenanigans and adventure (including a Dungeons and Dragons themed proposal). With it comes the promise of a future that will never be dull.
We find ourselves at the gaming table with now Best Man Sean and his girlfriend, Campbell, for our weekly dungeons and dragons night. As we explore the labyrinth of brick and stone hallways that is our current dungeon, our faithful Dungeon Master, James, asks me to roll a perception check. Lia, my Wildshape Druid, fails to see whatever lurks in the shadows. Our trek down the halls brings us to a large room where we run into some unsavory foes. After the great victory that followed, again i am prompted to roll a perceltion check, and again Lia fails to see what lurks in the shadows. unaware that our trusty DM was up to anything in particular. Our night continued like this, Sean, Campbell, and I exploring our dungeon with me occasionally throwing a failed perception check till we happen upon a great study where we proceed to fight a very fierce boss fight. Lia nearly lost her life to a powerful sorcress, only clinging to life thanks to her wizard companion, but the team came through just in the nick of time. As our team rested in a small room to the side. In this room, I finally throw a successful perception check. What does Lia notice you ask? She spots an odd brick in the wall and proceeds to work it out, and behind that false brick sat a small wooden box. When i turn to James to ask what is in the box, he is on his knee with his own special box, and he opens it to reveal a beautiful sparkling ring of engagement.
