One cold, cold Minnesota wintery evening, just before the bell rang to cheers in the New Year of 2018, Angharad had decided to swipe right on a handsome and intriguing man named Anshul. (Of course, Anshul must have also swiped right on Angharad!) And so it began... on New Year's Day of 2018, Angharad and Anshul began to chat. They shared details of how they spent their NYE, and conversations ensued. It didn't take long to find commonalities, including both of our parents, were professors for a university and our appreciation and love of education, culture, languages, family history, and trying out new activities. Their first date took place in uptown Minneapolis at Amazing Thailand. After sharing a meal and constant conversation (mixed with a little shyness on both their parts), they attempted to get dessert at a vegan bakery nearby. Still, it was Sunday evening, and the bakery was already closed. They hugged goodbye and stayed in touch. The following week Angharad and Anshul were both traveling for work and to visit friends, so they didn't reconnect until Anshul offered to pick up Angharad at the airport on her way home from Atlanta. Angharad's plane arrived late, and it was -20 outside. However, that didn't stop Anshul. He picked Angharad up from the airport. Angharad spent a lot of her life traveling and arriving at airports alone, and it was rare (besides her family) to get picked up at the airport. That meant the world to Angharad. Anshul likes to joke that Angharad soon became a regular visitor to his apartment and would often bring a bigger backpack each time, LOL. Whatever the story may be, they soon spent many hours together. So many memories have been made since then, and through these past and current challenging times, we cannot wait to continue to celebrate our love with you all soon. We look forward to making many more memories to come!
