FAQs

Question

What are the best airports to fly into?

Answer

Both Kona International Airport (KOA) and Hilo International Airport (ITO) are great options. Kona often has more flight options and may be more affordable, but it’s about a 1.5-hour scenic drive to Hilo. Hilo is much closer to the venue, just minutes away, but flights may be less frequent or slightly more expensive. Choose what works best for your travel plans.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least a day or two before the wedding to give yourself time to settle in, adjust to the surroundings, and explore the beautiful island. Arriving early ensures you’ll feel refreshed and ready to celebrate with us on our special day.

Question

Are there hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved a hotel block at the Courtyard Marriott for guests who prefer to stay in one convenient location near other guests. For those seeking other options, feel free to explore nearby hotels, more budget-friendly accommodations, or Airbnbs for a personalized and comfortable stay. We encourage you to choose what suits your needs best.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal, simple, and elegant with a preference for neutral tones. Think timeless and polished attire, such as cocktail dresses, long gowns, suits, or tailored outfits. Feel free to add a touch of your personal style!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If a plus-one wasn’t already pre-planned or if you’ve got a new boo, please reach out to us so we can discuss and try to accommodate your request. We want to ensure everyone feels included and comfortable.

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Of course! We love our family and little ones, but please note that children will remain under your care and responsibility throughout the celebration. We want everyone, big and small, to enjoy the day.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

No phones during the ceremony, please—we want our photographer to get the good shots and for everyone to be present in the moment. But at the reception, it’s all fair game.
