Ferry Building

There is a Farmers Market on Saturday morning at the Ferry Building lots of nice shops and restaurants right along the water front.

Golden Gate Bridge

Take a ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to see the dramatic, rocky coast.

Palace of Fine Arts

This is beautiful palace to see in the Marina District. Lots of a great restaurants and shops on Lombard street to check out as well.

Fishermans Wharf

There are many good seafood restaurants by Fisherman's Wharf. While you are there, Ghirardelli Square is close by and the Buena Vista is where they make Irish Coffees. Nearby is Pier 39 where there are many tourist shops and entertaining street performers. Perfect for kids and parents alike.

Union Square

Walking distance from the hotel is Union Square with lots of shopping and restaurants. A few minutes walk from there is Chinatown. It is a very interesting neighborhood with many shops and good, inexpensive chinese restaurants. Next door to Chinatown, North Beach is the old Italian district which is known for pleasurable walking streets and wonderful restaurants. If not up for a meal, make a pit stop in an Italian cafe for a coffee and pastery. It makes a wonderful memory.

Marin Headlands

If you care to hike and see some nice views across the golden gate bridge there are some nice hiking trails in this area and lots of photo opportunities.
