In 1978, James Dyson was frustrated with his vacuum cleaner's diminishing performance. Taking it apart, he discovered that its bag was clogging with dust, causing suction to drop. Five years and 5,127 prototypes later, he had invented the world's first bagless vacuum cleaner. The V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum features a Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head laser that detects particles and a Detangling Motorbar cleaner that clears hair from the brush bar. Hair screw tools pick up both pet hair and long hair while sensors size and count dust particles to adjust power. The V15 includes three cleaning modes, Eco Auto Boost, and Root Cyclone Technology with a battery that provides up to 60 minutes of use.
