Angelia Kate and Chris first crossed paths in 2018 during their sophomore year at the University of Florida. Their story kicked off with a coffee meetup just two hours before Chris’s Chemistry 2 exam (which, fun fact, he didn’t quite pass!). Not long after, they went on their first date at a local pizza restaurant. Their college days were filled with study sessions and late nights spent in the campus libraries. Though they were opposites in many ways, they bonded over trying new activities and restaurants. Their connection grew through a shared love of music and great food, leading them to explore countless local spots together. After Chris graduated in 2021, they moved to Orlando, where he attended the University of Central Florida to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Angelia Kate was able to launch her photography business and pursue her career as a full-time professional photographer.

Our mischievous American Staffordshire terrier, adopted in 2020 during the peak of covid, has given us a whole new perspective on joy. Her playful spirit and unconditional love have helped us rediscover the beauty in everyday moments—like a morning walk or sharing quiet time together. In August 2023, just after a family trip to California, Chris proposed to Angelia at the beautiful Mead Botanical Gardens in Orlando. The twist: Angelia brought back a little unexpected souvenir: COVID-19. They both ended up very sick just days before the big moment. Luckily, they recovered enough to still go ahead with the plan. When Chris popped the question, Angelia was so overwhelmed with happy tears that she didn’t catch a single word he said- completely checked out in the best way possible. Chris was equally overwhelmed and admits he can’t recall a single word he said during his speech!
