Airport Transfers
The drive from the Managua airport to Hacienda Iguana takes about 2-2.5 hours. The road is now paved all the away to Iguana’s gates so you will only be on a dirt road for the last 10 minutes or so. This transfer does include a grocery store stop in Rivas upon request. Please complete the form to request your airport transfer.

There are two international airports within driving distance of Iguana – Managua (MGA) and Liberia (LIR). A third international airport, Costa Esmeralda Airport (ECI), just recently opened 5 minutes from the Hacienda Iguana gates, complete with its own Customs Department and duty-free shop. In addition to private charter flights, Sansa Airlines currently offers 10 scheduled commercial flights from Liberia to Costa Esmeralda Airport each week. La Costeña Airlines also offers private charter flights from Managua to Costa Esmeralda. Click here to view Costa Esmeralda’s flight schedules. If arriving from Liberia, please note that travel times via ground transportation can be delayed due to the additional border crossing. In addition, vehicles (including rental cars) cannot be driven through the border.
