Acadia National Park
Some of our favorite things to do: • Drive the scenic Park Loop Road • Watch sunrise or sunset from Cadillac Mountain • Visit Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Otter Cliffs • Walk the Jordan Pond Path and grab popovers at Jordan Pond House • Hike Beehive, Gorham Mountain, or the carriage roads • Rent bikes or kayaks for the day • Visit Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse September is one of the most beautiful times of year in Acadia
Boothbay
Some of our favorite things to do: • Spend an afternoon at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens — and find the giant trolls! • Take a sunset sail with Schooner Eastwind or a lighthouse cruise around the harbor • Walk the Boothbay Harbor Footbridge and explore the downtown shops and waterfront • Visit Ocean Point for a scenic coastal drive and classic rocky Maine shoreline views • Get ice cream from Sarah’s Scoops • Rent kayaks or paddle boards through Tidal Transit Kayak Co. • Visit Burnt Island Lighthouse or take a whale watch boat tour
Damariscotta
Some of our favorite things to do: all are about 15 minutes from camp • Browse Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shop, Reny’s, local boutiques, and art galleries downtown on Main street • Grab a bite or drink at King Eider’s Pub, Newcastle Publick House, or River House Restaurant • Hit up Shuck Shack for fresh oysters right from the river • Grab ice cream at Round Top • In the mood for a sandwich, go to Fernalds or Metcalfs • For an ideal breakfast, go to Barn door cafe
Bar Harbor
Some of our favorite things to do • Explore the shops, restaurants, and waterfront in Bar Harbor • Eat as much lobster, blueberry pie, and blueberry coffee as possible • Walk to the "disappearing island" on the Bar Island Land Bridge
