Cousin of the Groom Nelson is the first cousin of Alex. Growing up in the same house Nelson, his brother Emmanuel and Alex grew up more like brothers than cousins. Their childhood was full of adventure and mischief, as any household with 3 or more boys would be. As they grew older their relationship grew with them. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “My favorite memory about Alex is when we went camping to Catholic Charities. Alex’s backpack with camping gear was so heavy it kept knocking him over.” ▪ FUN FACT: Nelson enjoys cooking and can’t swim.

Best Friend of the Bride Bethany has been best friends with Angela for over 10 years! More like sisters than friends, they promised each other that they would be each other’s maid of honor when they married. When asked Angela stated, “She’s honestly the best person to have as a BFF. She keeps it straight with me, never lies, and always has my best interest at heart. She’s the ying to my yang.” ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Almost every Sunday before church we used to split a pineapple banana coconut pancake with extra butter and whipped cream.” ▪ FUN FACT: Bethany met Marc John Jeffries from the Haunted House movie with Eddie Murphy.

Brother of the Bride Augusto, better known as “Adisa”, is the older brother of Angela. When asked Angela stated, “He was my biggest role model growing up. Everything I did was so I could try and measure up to him”. Augusto currently lives in Washington D.C. as he pursues his political career. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “My favorite memory of Angela is watching her walk across the stage when she graduated from Northeastern.” ▪ FUN FACT: Adisa has been photographed with numerous famous politicians including: Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, Ayanna Pressley and Fitzgerald Grant from the hit TV show Scandal.

Hianety Brito

Sister of the Bride Hianety, better known as “Guila”, is the older and only sister to Angela. Although they are 10 years apart it does not show in appearance or in relationship. They are extremely close. Angela is the godmother to her daughter, Alyssa. Guila served as a role model to Angela growing up, and she followed in her sister’s footsteps when she decided to become a nurse. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “My favorite memory of Angela is taking her to Disney World when she was younger.” ▪ FUN FACT: Guila lived in Hawaii for over 5 years.

Ildo Goncalves III

Brother of the Bride Ildo, better known as “Babe”, is the younger brother of Angela. Being the closest sibling in age to Angela they grew up very close. The amount of memories they share are too many to count. Despite being the younger sibling, he has always been protective of Angela. Babe is expected to graduate next May with a degree in criminal justice. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Sitting on Adisa’s bed, playing throwback songs and trying to name the artist like it was a game show.” ▪ FUN FACT: Babe loves playing basketball.

Sister of the Groom Alexandra, better known as “Cassandra”, is the only sibling of Alex. She resembles her brother tremendously, even more so when they were growing up. If asked she will always describe her relationship with Alex as, “I am my brother’s keeper”. Although short in stature her aspirations are grand. She is currently in school to become a nurse. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “When I was younger and got scared at night I would go sleep with Alex. He would put a pillow between us so we didn’t touch.” ▪ FUN FACT: Cassandra loves to take pictures.

Boliere Camille

Best Friend of the Groom Boliere, better known as “Junior”, is the best friend of Alex. The two met their first year as students at Curry College. Junior and Alex both coached AAU Basketball together for several years. FAVORITE MEMORY: “Going out with Alex, having the time of our lives and then watching Alex try to get a taxi.” FUN FACT: Junior enjoys cooking and baking.

Alysha Noel

Close Friend of the Bride Alysha and Angela met in 2008 at volleyball tryouts at their new high school. Together they navigated the halls of Avon High School as student leaders, teammates and close friends. Alysha and Angela both majored in biology while in undergrad and leaned on each other for support even while attending different universities. Over 10 years have passed since they first met and while a lot has changed, their friendship has not. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Instead of volleying it over to Angela, I would shoot the ball straight up to the high ceiling of the gym and Angela would joke it ‘went to the moon!’ It was the beginning of a hilarious friendship.” ▪ FUN FACT: Alysha is a lefty, speaks two languages, has never broken a bone and has been to three Beyonce concerts.

Close Friend of the Groom Marcelo worked with Alex at the Cape Verdean Association for two years. He has also known Angela since he was child as they both attend the same church, St. Edith Stein Parish. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Coming back home with Alex driving after a night out.” ▪ FUN FACT: Marcelo calls Alex “Granddad”.

Nataly Depina

Goddaughter of the Bride Nataly is the youngest of the bridesmaids. She has known Angela practically her whole life. Nataly and Angela grew up on the same street, Wilmington Street. Although Nataly is 5 years younger than Angela they developed a close relationship when Nataly was in high school. Nataly chose Angela to be her godmother for confirmation, which Angela describes as, “An honor”. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “When we were younger I used to go to Angela’s house and play.” ▪ FUN FACT: Nataly loves to joke around.

Close Friend of the Groom Nilton has known Angela since she was a child. He went to high school with Angela’s older sister Hianety. He met Alex through Angela and they became so close you wouldn’t even have guessed he knew Angela first. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Watching Alex dance and speak fluent creolo at my house on New Year’s Eve.” ▪ FUN FACT: Nilton loves to sing and travel.

Close Friend of the Bride Carla and Angela have known each other for years. They are both active members of the same church, St. Edith Stein Parish. According to Angela, Carla is “one of the kindest souls. She reminds me of a better version of myself”. She is the president of the Cape Verdean Student Association at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and will graduate this May. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Christmas Day with Angela.” ▪ FUN FACT: Carla’s bumper sticker says, “Do you follow Jesus this close?”

Close Friend of the Groom Fabricio worked with Alex at the Cape Verdean Association for two years. He also happens to be the cousin by marriage of Angela. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “All the laughs we shared in the office and at lunch will always be in my memories. Alex might just be the funniest person I’ve ever met. Glad I get to be a part of the biggest day of his life.” ▪ FUN FACT: Fabricio enjoys playing sports and hanging out. His favorite color is purple.

Close Friend of the Bride Olivia is the first cousin of Dayna + Rayna. Although Angela was introduced to Olivia in high school as a friend of a friend, their friendship has grown tremendously over the years. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Every time we had a half day in school, we would always go to TGI Friday’s and share so many laughs together. I am so happy that I get to witness my friend accomplish all of her lifetime goals and aspirations.” ▪ FUN FACT: Olivia is an avid baker and owns her own business, Sweet Dosenia.

Cousin of the Groom Felipa is Alex’s god-sister. They grew up together and even attended the same schools, from elementary up to high school. She describes Alex as, “rarely ever with a frown, this kid is always happy”. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “I’d say during my Sweet 16 practices, teaching him to dance passada. He was so stiff!” ▪ FUN FACT: Felipa loves to play soccer, her favorite color is blue and she prefers summer over winter. She’s a 90s baby, an old soul.

Rayna and her sister attended a different university from Angela after high school, but remained close friends with Angela. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “Hanging out with Angela after school at her cousin’s house with friends.” ▪ FUN FACT: Rayna loves to travel.

More like an older brother than uncle, Alex and Manny are very close. ▪ FAVORITE MEMORY: “My best moment is when Alex thought I threw him in front of a bike that almost killed him. Or when we went to Six Flags, can’t decide.” ▪ FUN FACT: When Manny was a child he had long, thin, straight Asian-like hair.
